Do I need to obtain my own credit card merchant account?
No, there is no need for you to spend months negotiating with individual credit card companies and payment processing vendors. We take care of all that for you.
Which cards can I accept?
All of the major credit cards: Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Discover.
How do we receive our funds?
Funds are deposited directly into your designated bank account.
Will this work with my database or e-commerce solution?
Yes. IATS is the preferred donation processing partner of many leading providers of software to nonprofit organizations. This means you can process transactions directly from your donor database or website.
Can I process transactions remotely?
Absolutely, IATS is web-based so you can process transactions wherever you have a computer and an internet connection.
You can also purchase a POS terminal to process transactions at your events.
How secure is the IATS system?
IATS uses the highest levels of security available on the Internet to protect your personal information. We protect your personal information against such risks as loss or theft, unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, modification or destruction, through appropriate security measures. We protect the information regardless of the format in which it is held. We use Microsoft security protocols and Verisign to secure all of our transactions.
IATS considers all personal information as confidential and we do not disclose personal information to any third parties. All employees of IATS with access to personal information are required as a condition of employment to respect the confidentiality of personal information.

What do I need to do to get started?
To qualify for a nonprofit IATS Account your organization must be a registered nonprofit and will be required to provide the following documentation:
• Confirmation of your tax-exempt status with the IRS or CRA
• Verification of a bank account for deposits with a pre-printed Void Check or typed & signed bank letter
• Financial statements to confirm your current and past financial history
