The Payment Card Industry (PCI) Data Security Standard was created by major credit card companies to set high technical standards to safeguard customer information. Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and other card associations mandate that merchants and service providers meet certain standards of security when they store, process and transmit cardholder data.

IATS fully supports and endorses this standard as a way to make credit card processing more secure for all and is certified by TrustWave Ambiron at a Level 1 which is the highest level possible.
